I've always been a PC man by trade. You won't find too many people who don't know at least something about Windows. Head into industry and try to find a company that uses Apple as its primary operating platform... chances are you won't. Unless you're visiting Pixar.
While I've always been facinated by the cult of Mac, I never saw much use for it, and I didn't like the high price of membership. If you visit this blog with any regularity, you know that I am a proud iPod owner, and probably have what some might call an unnatural attachment to my portable music libary, but it wasn't until recently that I have seriously started considering the purchase of a Mac... particularly the Mac Mini.
Rather than tell you all about the Mini, let me just tell you all that I want one. It is a relatively inexpensive way to experience Mac computing. Pundits might point out that the tiny, and need I say 'sexy' unit does not include a keyboard, mouse, or monitor. As someone sporting a KVM switch, this minor issue does not concern me, and only serves to exasperate my desire for the unit.
I predict that the Mac Mini will be a huge success for Apple not only because of the effect its existence is having on yours truely, but because it is priced in a way that makes it appealing to the 'mac curious' PC user / PC using iPod owner. This might be why Apple recently topped a list of the world's most influential brands.
